A prominent Democrat National Committee (DNC) fundraiser has been tapped to serve on President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural fundraising committee, raising the question of who she is and why she’s here.
Her name is Lindy Li, and she’s a former hardcore Democrat who became a pariah to the hateful left for daring to criticize Vice President Kamala Harris’ disastrous presidential campaign.

Prior to the 2024 presidential election that Harris lost, Li was a prominent, powerful figure in the Democrat Party.
“On TV she celebrated Biden’s vitality, Kamala Harris’ political strengths and condemned Trump’s racism and the overall toxicity of the MAGA movement,” according to the Daily Mail.
“At the last Kamala Harris campaign rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Li was there in the front row with prominent figures and Biden’s daughter Ashley and others to cheer on Harris as the historic first female president of the United States,” the Mail’s reporting continues.
But then following Election Day, everything changed after a frustrated Li went public with her complaints about the Democrat Party and how they’d clearly mishandled the election.
“All I did is tell the truth. I literally, that’s all I did, all I did is tell it like it was,” she told the Daily Mail.
For telling the truth, she became a target of left-wing hate, including racist and sexist slurs:

“The Chinese Communist Party killed my great grandfather and that’s why we left the country, like give me a f–king break,” she said to the Daily Mail. “For someone to say something that heinous it just shows that the racism of the Democratic Party was there all along.”
Indeed.
Incidentally, as the Democrat Party alienated her more and more, the Republican Party began reaching out to her more and more.
At one point, in fact, someone got her in touch with Trump’s son Eric, who in turn got her in touch with the Republican National Committee and Trump transition officials.
Now, weeks/months later, she’s officially raising money for the Trump campaign and even promoting some of its talking points. And now that she’s a part of the right, she’s also speaking up about the vast differences between the tolerant right and the hateful left.
“Republicans, Li said, accepted her with open arms, even inviting her to Trump’s club Mar-a-Lago for the year-end fundraisers and festivities,” the Daily Mail notes. “She did not go to Mar-a-Lago but was touched by the warm welcome that Trump supporters were willing to give her.”
With Democrats, on the other hand, she’s “fought tooth and nail” just for the littlest recognition.
“It’s like night and day,” she said, adding that the Democrat Party would rather “destroy” their critics instead of listening, learning, and improving themselves. “It’s more convenient to blame me.”
“[Republicans] are so much more human with me. With the DNC it was so mercenary it felt that everyone had dollar signs in their eyes, they treated me like a wallet it was just so disgusting and gross,” she continued.
She’s even gone so far on several occasions as to compare the modern Democrat Party to a cult.

“This past week has been harrowing for me,” she said in the clip above. “On Saturday, I went on Fox & Friends and said, ‘Democrats have a stench of loser hanging over them.’ As soon as I said that, there were boycott campaigns against me—unblock, unfollow campaigns.”
“I lost tens of thousands of followers because I dared to tell the truth. In a cult, you can’t tell the truth or ask questions, but I’m done with that,” she added.
Dovetailing back to her Daily Mail interview, she also revealed that she isn’t alone in switching allegiances and that a number of the donors who she’d fundraised off of for Democrats are now asking how they can donate to the Republican Party instead.
