Alina Habba blasts predetermined NY fraud trial against Trump: ‘I’ll be loud and booming after the decision’

Trump’s attorney Alina Habba is bracing herself for the witch-hunt verdict against the former president in his $370 million New York fraud trial.

“If I could file the appeal now I would, there’s no surprises coming here. It’s much of the same that we’ve seen in New York,” Habba candidly told Newsmax host Eric Bolling on Thursday.

“I’ll be loud and booming right after we get the decision, I don’t have high hopes. I do believe there is some ethics left,” she contended.

Given the persecution by rabid leftist New York Attorney General Letitia James and a seemingly equally biased Judge Arthur Engoron, who is presiding over the case, Trump could be slammed with hundreds of millions of dollars in penalties.

“I hope Judge Engoron sees through this, quite honestly I’ve seen it time and time again. I’ve been on weeks and weeks of trial in New York, the corruption runs deep. The Trump derangement syndrome frankly runs even deeper. They can’t see straight, they can’t apply law to fact. There was absolutely no laws broken,” Habba asserted.

Habba sees the case as blatant political persecution meant to possibly imprison the former president and bleed him dry of funds in an effort to force him out of the 2024 presidential election. If you can’t beat Trump in the polls, then lawfare is the name of the game for the Left.

James wants a $370 million judgment against Trump along with a ban stipulating that the former president and other defendants can’t do business in the state of New York.

“James’ office has estimated that Trump exaggerated his wealth by as much as $3.6 billion, using the figures to get lower insurance premiums and favorable loan terms,” the Daily Mail reported.

The former president testified on Nov. 6 that his financial statements understated his net worth. He also alluded to the fact that the banks mentioned in the case did their own research and sought his business. Trump has told the judge over and over again he did nothing wrong, ramming that point home in January during closing arguments… all to no avail.

Instead of giving voice to the unjustly accused, Engoron interrupted Trump and demanded that his attorney Christopher Kise “control his client.” The former president justifiably walked out of the courtroom after that bias was put on display.

“Trump then laid out all the problems with the case, claiming the trial was unprecedented and being used against him as part of a ploy by President Biden,” the Daily Mail recounted.

“He also said that presidents who don’t have total immunity will be ‘ineffective,'” the outlet stated reiterating the valid point made by Trump.

Trump went on to rail against Biden’s political persecution of him to eliminate him as a rival for the presidency, a move favored in third-world dictatorships.

“My legal issues, every one of them, every one — civil and the criminal ones—are all set up by Joe Biden. Crooked Joe Biden. This is something that has never happened in this country,” Trump said blasting Biden.

“It’s a shame. It’s a witch-hunt in the truest sense of the word. It’s election interference. It’s all a conspiracy to get Biden into office,” the former president argued and then showed a report that noted James had visited Biden in the White House “numerous times.”

“Trump allies, led by Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), have alleged Engoron is politically biased, and that James also broke ethics rules in prosecution. Stefanik has filed complaints against both parties,” The Hill reported.

This case is just one of many filed against Trump to eliminate him as a threat to Biden. In January, a Manhattan jury also ordered Trump to pay E. Jean Carroll $83.3 million in a defamation case.

He is also being charged with falsifying business records in New York and will be subjected to a criminal trial over that charge. The case involves $130,000 reportedly paid to adult film actress Stormy Daniels over an alleged affair.

“Trump is facing a third trial in Washington for trying to subvert the results of the election but the date has been postponed indefinitely while the Supreme Court considers whether he had Presidential immunity,” the Daily Mail wrote.

“The fourth criminal trial is due to take place in Florida in May and relates to Trump’s illegal retention of classified material after he left office in 2021,” the outlet said.

He is also charged in Georgia with trying to interfere with voting results during an election, but District Attorney Fani Willis may have tanked that case by her alleged unethical behavior that is now being investigated.

Trump has repeatedly denied all of the charges. He has had to pay millions in attorney fees to protect himself from the attacks, which millions of Americans see as a brazen attempt to silence him and keep him out of the Oval Office.
