A Walgreens in Chicago’s South Side is shutting its doors, and it’s truly no wonder why.
Last week, Chicago Alderman William Hall called for the corporation to be charged with “first degree corporate abandonment” for its decision to pull out of the high-crime area. Apparently they have some sort of moral obligation to continue to operate in an area where their employees get assaulted and their products are stolen simply because no other company wants to do business in such a location.

But according to LibsOfTikTok, the amount of money Walgreens had to spend (and lose) to maintain the location just last year is eye-popping.
Look:
BREAKING: Walgreens reveals the Chicago South Side store they are shuttering after 20 years, lost $1 million mainly due to theft last year, which is 4x the company average, while they spent $400k a year on security and employees still got assaulted.

“Walgreens reveals the Chicago South Side store they are shuttering after 20 years, lost $1 million mainly due to theft last year, which is 4x the company average, while they spent $400k a year on security and employees still got assaulted,” she wrote.
X users reacted to the shocking number:
Tell that Alderman that is pissing and moaning about it to cover Walgreen’s losses. See if he changes his tune.

Democrats want to fundamentally transform America into the South Side of Chicago.

I don’t know which is more shocking… that $1 million was stolen from one store… or that the average store has $250,000 stolen every year.

Turn those areas into deserts. Close up and leave. Learn the lesson the hard way.

People online love saying ‘theft is exaggerated’ until stores start posting million-dollar losses and leaving entire neighborhoods.

And Cockroach Piker is going to tell you that stealing from the rich/corporate is OK.
I heard it and thought that we have different morals because for me is never OK. Even when you starving in today’s world you can just ask

Spent $400k on security and still got robbed blind while employees got assaulted. But sure, let’s blame Walgreens for leaving instead of the people turning the store into a self-checkout crime scene 😂
