Elon Musk visits Israel, tours Hamas carnage along with PM Netanyahu

With the media bending over backward this past week to accuse Elon Musk of “amplifying” supposed antisemitic comments on his account on X, the billionaire countered with a visit Monday to Israel.

Musk landed in Tel Aviv on Monday amid a cease-fire between Israel and the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. He will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the “security aspects of artificial intelligence” and host an online conversation, according to Reuters. Musk will also meet with President Isaac Herzog — they will reportedly be joined by representatives of the families of hostages, to discuss “the horrors of the Hamas terror attack on October 7, and of the ongoing pain and uncertainty for those held captive.”

In the video below, Musk and Netanyahu are seen visiting a kibbutz in southern Israel that was attacked by Hamas militants on Oct. 7. Both men are wearing bulletproof vests while military leaders conduct the tour and, at one point, Musk can be seen taking pictures and videos of the destruction on his phone.

Israel communications minister Shlomo Karhi announced in a tweet Monday a deal in principle to use Musk’s Starlink satellite network in Gaza.

“As a result of this significant agreement, Starlink satellite units can only be operated in Israel with the approval of the Israeli Ministry of Communications, including the Gaza Strip,” Karhi wrote.

“As the State of Israel fights against Hamas – ISIS, this understanding is vital, as is it for everyone who desires a better world, free of evil and free of anti-Semitism, for our children’s sake,” he continued. “During your time in Israel, I hope that you will be able to gain valuable insight, and that it will serve as a springboard for future endeavors, as well as enhance your relationship with the Jewish people and values we share with the entire world.”

Musk added this message in a tweet of his own: “Actions speak louder than words.”
