Vice President Kamala Harris has been campaigning for nearly two weeks, but it would appear that she hasn’t actually clarified her position on anything of importance.
Going to her website doesn’t help out much either. Upon first accessing the site, a pop-up asks you to donate to the campaign. When you exit out of that, a graphic of Harris and her running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz adorns the front page, along with links to “meet” the candidates, a link to buy merch from their store, and two areas to enter your information to get text updates from the Harris campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
Notably, there is no information on Harris’s policy positions to be found on the site, just a biography of her life and career. Chris Cillizza and Jeff Carlson took note of what appears to be a lack of information flowing from the campaign.
“Kamala Harris has been the de facto presidential nominee for 2 weeks now. In that time, as best as I can tell, she has done zero media interviews and held zero press conferences (or even taken random questions from reporters),” he wrote in a post on X.

This is the entirety of the Kamala Harris for President website.
No issues. No positions. No platform. Just donation buttons. pic.twitter.com/VhvJXVm1Xz

Compare this to DonaldJTrump.com, which features a link at the very top of the page where you can access former President Donald Trump’s platform in addition to donation and event information.
The “Platform” page features 20 concise descriptions of his policy positions, as well as a link for anyone wanting a deeper dive into the Republican nominee.
X users commented on the strange lack of substance from the Harris campaign:
They have made everything fake, including the presidency of our United Sates.

It the ole “You have to pass the bill before you can find out what’s in it” strategy.

She’s received no votes. She’s not really campaigned. The Democrats are vacant. Just donate they’ll figure it out by November.

That’s the plan
My mother voted for Biden in 2020 because she didn’t read his campaign page
I had told her she got what she voted for (since she had been complaining about policy). She said she didn’t know
I was hoping this year she would read policy first…— Cheese Crackers (@Why45huh) August 5, 2024
Notice the way she seems as flippantly unconcerned as Biden did in 2020? I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen any Democrats look as if they’re fighting to win their races.
3.5 years of the open faucet at the border will fortify this election, imo.— Tiffanie Tx (@tiffanie_tx) August 5, 2024
Come on man, be honest. She’s also selling merchandise.

Empty, like her head.
Unburdened by what has been.
