Marjorie Taylor Greene, Dan Crenshaw go at it hard over his vote on $40B aid to Ukraine

In a heated Twitter debate over the controversial $40 billion aid package to Ukraine that passed the House of Representatives, thanks to the support of all but 57 Republicans who voted against the exorbitant spending bill, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) tore into Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas), who was quickly reminded of the meaning of “America First.”

The explosive exchange began with a tweet from Crenshaw in which he lamented over America’s open border with Mexico and the influx of the deadly drug, fentanyl.

“Our open border — and the fentanyl pouring across it — is killing Americans in record numbers,” tweeted Crenshaw, along with an article on overdoses from the Wall Street Journal. “Biden doesn’t care. They only care what the radical immigration groups think, not you.”

Given that Crenshaw had just voted to send billions overseas when soaring inflation, food shortages, and that open border he claims to be concerned with are crushing Americans at home, pushback to his claim was inevitable.

From the humble account of one user, came the spark that ended with Crenshaw calling Greene a Russian sympathizer.

“Yeah you sound off about that stuff but then you vote yes on the $40 billion to Ukraine,” charged Chigg Bungus from his account of under 200 followers.

Crenshaw, for whatever reason, took this as an opportunity to admit the taxpayer dollars we are lavishing upon Ukraine are not so much meant to help Ukrainians, but to destroy Russia.

“Yeah, because investing in the destruction of our adversary’s military, without losing a single American troop, strikes me as a good idea,” Crenshaw shot back, adding, “You should feel the same.”

And that’s when, out of nowhere, Greene jumped in and accused Crenshaw of seeing Ukrainian lives as expendable.

“So you think we are funding a proxy war with Russia?” Greene asked her Capitol Hill colleague. “You speak as if Ukrainian lives should be thrown away, as if they have no value. Just used and thrown away.”

“For your proxy war?” Greene asked. “How does that help Americans? How does any of this help?”

Greene was characteristically vocal in her opposition to the legislation she described as the “America LAST” bill.

“In the America LAST $40 BILLION Ukraine FIRST bill that we are voting on tonight, there is authorization for funds to be given to the CIA for who knows what and who knows how much?” Greene tweeted prior to the vote. “But NO BABY FORMULA for American mothers!”

In a video before the vote, Greene blasted the bill, which she said would see Americans’ “hard-earned tax dollars” go overseas, “while our farmers are suffering, mothers can’t get baby formula, and our border is being completely invaded.”

And before the House, the fiery representative wanted to remind Congress that, “we swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. It’s time to pay attention to our country and our borders.”

When confronted by Greene after the legislation overwhelmingly passed the House of Representatives, Crenshaw was either unwilling or unable to defend his stance and instead resorted to name-calling.

“Still going after that slot on Russia Today huh?” Crenshaw taunted.

But as the man many call a RINO (Republican In Name Only)  should realize by now, Greene isn’t one to back down.

“Sanctions aren’t stopping anything, but they are driving inflation and fuel prices,” she replied. “I refuse to vote for useless measures that cause problems but solve none.”

“While you send $40 billion for your proxy war against Russia,” said Greene, “I’m focused on baby formula for American babies.”

The back-and-forth did not end well for Crenshaw as Americans, tired of struggling while solutions are provided for other nations, were quick to line up behind Greene’s scathing tweets, with one user calling the exchange “Glorious.”
