Minnesota AG Keith Ellison guarantees there will be ‘seizure’ of Trump’s assets

Democrats continue to revel in the lawfare being waged against a political enemy in Donald Trump, branding their weaponization of the law as “justice.”

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison appeared on Al Sharpton’s little-watched show on MSNBC over the weekend — surprisingly, the race-baiter still has a show —  and was asked about all the cases being brought against the former president.

New York Attorney General Letitia James has already initiated the process of seizing Trump’s assets in the event he does not pay the staggering $454 million judgment rendered in his civil fraud trial, and Ellison was confident that this would happen if the presumptive Republican presidential nominee does not meet a Monday deadline.

With a straight face, Sharpton asked, “Are you confident that we’re moving in the direction of justice being served?

“Yes, I am confident. And I just want to commend Attorney General James for pursuing justice and making sure that nobody’s above the law,” Ellison replied. “Nobody’s beneath the law. Certainly, Donald Trump is being treated just like any other civil defendant. He’s got to come up with the bond or he’s going to see levy and execution, seizure, to collect on the judgment.”

“That’s just the way that it is,” he continued. “Nobody else would be treated any different, and he should not be treated different.”

Of course, Ellison repeating three times that Trump is not being treated differently may be the best indication that he is the target of political retribution by those abusing the power of their offices.

“And we’ll see what happens tomorrow. I don’t have any inside information on what’s going to happen tomorrow. But his moment of reckoning is coming up quick,” Ellison added. “On the other matter, the sexual hush money case, the prostitution suppression case, which essentially manipulated our electoral system by hiding information, falsifying information, that matter is looming as well. And I have every reason to believe that Alvin Bragg is going to see justice served as well.”

Auto theft is a problem in parts of Minnesota and like a true Democrat, Ellison’s solution shared with Sharpton is not to target the car thieves but to go after the automakers for not making their vehicles harder to steal.
