Olympic boxer in gender controversy names Musk, J.K. Rowling in cyberbullying suit

Billionaire X owner Elon Musk and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling are both named in a cyberbullying lawsuit filed by Olympic boxer Imane Khelif.

Khelif just won the gold medal in the women’s 66-kilogram division at the Paris Olympics amid a controversy over whether the Algerian athlete had an unfair advantage over female competitors after allegedly failing a gender test.

The boxer was the focus of intense social media criticism following a match with Italy’s Angela Carini who was reduced to tears after being pummeled by Khelif who reportedly has XY (male) chromosomes, which could give the boxer a leg up on true biological females.

On Tuesday, it was reported that the Olympian is punching back hard against online critics with a French complaint for “acts of aggravated cyber harassment” that reportedly names Musk and Rowling, both of whom posted comments critical of Khelif.

“J. K. Rowling and Elon Musk are named in the lawsuit, among others,” lawyer Nabil Boudi told showbiz outlet Variety of the suit which was filed on Friday in Paris, suggesting that former President Donald J. Trump may also be included.

“Trump tweeted, so whether or not he is named in our lawsuit, he will inevitably be looked into as part of the prosecution,” Boudi said.

“The lawsuit was filed against X, which under French law means that it was filed against unknown persons. That ‘ensure[s] that the ‘prosecution has all the latitude to be able to investigate against all people,’ including those who may have written hateful messages under pseudonyms, said Boudi,” Variety reported.

After the match in which Khelif pulverized the boxer’s overwhelmed opponent in just 46 seconds, Musk agreed with a post by former NCAA women’s swimming star Riley Gaines that “Men don’t belong in women’s sports.”

Rowling wrote, “The idea that those objecting to a male punching a female in the name of sport are objecting because they believe Khelif to be ‘trans’ is a joke. We object because we saw a male punching a female.”

Trump shared a clip of the vicious beating to Truth Social, stating “I WILL KEEP MEN OUT OF WOMEN’S SPORTS!”

Musk, Trump, and Rowling are high-profile names but there are tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands or more of other users who also shared their takes on the X platform, it is unclear whether they are also going to be sued.

“What we’re asking is that the prosecution investigates not only these people but whoever it feels necessary. If the case goes to court, they will stand trial,” Boudi told Variety.

It’s the latest example of how European laws are being used to reach across the pond to retaliate against American citizens who dare to defy the orthodoxy of the globalist left.
