Ryan Routh has ‘disappeared from the public media consciousness’

It has been just two weeks since Ryan Routh was arrested after being spotted with a rifle by a Secret Service agent as he awaited the opportunity to assassinate former President Donald Trump, who was playing a sudden round of golf in West Palm Beach, Florida.

However, as many predicted, the story appears to have been memory-holed by the media, with little focus today on Routh, despite a questionable background which includes a criminal record dating back decades, social media posts echoing Democrat talking points, strong support for Ukraine, and questions about whether Routh may have had inside information on Trump’s schedule.

“I find it fascinating that Ryan Routh has disappeared from the public media consciousness, other than the FBI releasing the letter containing his $150,000 bounty on President Trump,” a post from the popular X account Cynical Publius read. “It’s as if Lee Harvey Oswald’s existence in December of 1963 had been erased. Troubling.”

Troubling indeed, with all eyes now on the CIA and what role the agency played in the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

Equally troubling was the Biden DOJ releasing a letter from Routh that essentially placed a bounty on Trump. Keep in mind that law enforcement sat on the release of a manifesto written by the transgender shooter in Nashville who killed three 9-year-olds and three adults at a Christian private school.

“This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you,” the letter reads. “I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job, and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.”

There’s little doubt the failed attempts on Trump’s life boosted his popularity, and any media attention on the story would not be beneficial to those invested in a Kamala Harris presidency.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
