It has been just two weeks since Ryan Routh was arrested after being spotted with a rifle by a Secret Service agent as he awaited the opportunity to assassinate former President Donald Trump, who was playing a sudden round of golf in West Palm Beach, Florida.
However, as many predicted, the story appears to have been memory-holed by the media, with little focus today on Routh, despite a questionable background which includes a criminal record dating back decades, social media posts echoing Democrat talking points, strong support for Ukraine, and questions about whether Routh may have had inside information on Trump’s schedule.
“I find it fascinating that Ryan Routh has disappeared from the public media consciousness, other than the FBI releasing the letter containing his $150,000 bounty on President Trump,” a post from the popular X account Cynical Publius read. “It’s as if Lee Harvey Oswald’s existence in December of 1963 had been erased. Troubling.”

Troubling.

Troubling indeed, with all eyes now on the CIA and what role the agency played in the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
Equally troubling was the Biden DOJ releasing a letter from Routh that essentially placed a bounty on Trump. Keep in mind that law enforcement sat on the release of a manifesto written by the transgender shooter in Nashville who killed three 9-year-olds and three adults at a Christian private school.
“This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you,” the letter reads. “I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job, and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.”
There’s little doubt the failed attempts on Trump’s life boosted his popularity, and any media attention on the story would not be beneficial to those invested in a Kamala Harris presidency.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
BOTH of the assassination attempts on Trump have been MEMORY-HOLED by the regime media. Despicable.

Definitely has that “slow-roll-you-till-you-forget” feel to it, doesn’t it? If Florida as a state, hadn’t jumped in and started investigating, this DEFINITELY would have gone nowhere at all.

The Establishment® must suppress all mentions of the Trump assassination attempts, for it boosts his public opinion ratings, and they can’t have that this close to the election.

What the media chooses not to talk about is generally of more importance than what they do talk about. Corollary: they are past masters of talking about part of something while pretending they’re talking about all of it. Like a magic act, the journalism of misdirection.

It is fascinating, but not surprising.
It’s also incredibly sad that this is the state of the American media today.

Now it’s all about the Iranian hit teams and middle teams traveling around looking for Trump’s plane or something.
We’re probably lucky Iran is a bit distracted by the neighborhood fireworks as of late, tbh.

I think the State-Run Media is trying to downplay anything that might make Trump remotely sympathetic.
They know Scamala is completely empty-headed and unlikeable and must be kept away from all microphones.
The only other strategy is to attack Trump or dampen his relevancy.
