When Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president, there was a consensus on the left that this development was going to be the deciding factor in the November election, so it may come as a surprise to them that the pop diva has a lower favorability rating among voters than former President Donald Trump.
That’s according to the New York Times, which tested Swift’s “favorable rating” in its latest presidential poll, among likely voters nationally.
Swift is one of those anomalies in life in that she’s not particularly talented, not particularly attractive, not very interesting as a person, yet is revered by millions. With an estimated $1.3 billion net worth, she is wealthy beyond anyone’s dream, and given that Swift has been on tour since March 2023, for a year and a half, money is clearly a priority.
As for the outcome of the polling, it’s no surprise that Democrats love Swift with 70% seeing her favorably. Independents not so much, at 41%, and Republicans come in as the connoisseurs of good taste with just 23% having a favorable view.
Overall, according to a New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena College poll conducted Sept. 11 to 16, 44 percent of likely voters have favorable views of the pop singer and 34% have unfavorable views of her.
At the same time, a Times/Inquirer/Siena poll shows that 47 percent of voters view Trump favorably, with 51 percent viewing him unfavorably.
Keep in mind, the media berates Trump 24-7, while never missing an opportunity to praise and lift up Taylor Swift, who is even shoved down the throats of NFL fans when they watch a game.
The poll was conducted after the presidential debate and after Swift voiced her support for the empty vessel Kamala Harris — Swift said on Instagram that she was supporting Harris “because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”
Trump responded by casting a shadow over the media attention concerning her endorsement via a social media post declaring, “I hate Taylor Swift!”
The only gift Kamala has displayed thus far is the remarkable ability to fail upward, having not a single major accomplishment on her resume other than being tapped to be President Joe Biden’s vice president because of her gender and the color of her skin, and then being installed as Biden’s replacement after he was forced out by the Obama Machine™.
Speaking of the machine, a fevered pysop campaign carefully designed to avoid unscripted moments has resulted in a favorability rating of 48 percent for Kamala Harris. Keep in mind, that just over a year ago, an NBC News poll showed the lowest net negative for a vice president in the history of the poll.
Just 32% of registered voters polled saw Harris favorably, while 49% had a negative view, resulting in a net negative rating of -17.
