While the neighboring state of Virginia pushes hard left, the state of Tennessee is falling back on good old-fashioned common sense with a new law declaring June as “Nuclear Family Month.”
The fact that June is also recognized as LGBTQ+ month has the left hopping mad.
Governor Bill Lee signed the resolution last week after the Republican-controlled state legislature sent it to his desk. The law states that “the nuclear family, consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, is God’s design for familial structure and has been the bedrock of society since the creation of the world.”

The resolution cites the fallout from fatherless homes, be it poverty, drug use, and/or violent crime, and says the nuclear family “was the basic building block of Tennessee’s society throughout her formative years,” further describing it as “God’s perfect design for humanity.”
“The nuclear family is under attack in our beloved State and nation, and it is our responsibility to uplift, protect, and support values that help Tennessee prosper,” the resolution adds.
LGBTQ+ advocacy group GLAAD responded by regurgitating the worn-out mantra that love is the answer.
“Resolutions like this do more to reveal the cluelessness of elected officials whose own families and those of their constituents have various family dynamics and structures,” a spokesperson said in a statement. “The strongest families are grounded by love. Lawmakers trying to exclude and intentionally harm some families should be recognized as actively harming all by not focusing their time working for an inclusive Tennessee where all are welcome and can succeed.”
There was plenty of support for the resolution, with social media users recognizing the importance of the nuclear family tp prevent society’s demise — here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
There is no free choice with the LGBTQ crowd
You either accept their way or you are the villain
That’s not freedom

The sooner and more aggressively we normalize the cessation in indulging nonsense, the sooner we as a society can mend and coalesce and set upon a culture of truth.

If they can celebrate being gay or queer for a month, then why can’t families also celebrate embracing traditional values? Shouldn’t that be celebrated and promoted? Isn’t that how we get our population growth going in the right direction again?

The nuclear family is the future of our country, and we should invest in it, or the lack of it will be our demise.
