Another young athlete has died “suddenly,” continuing what many are seeing as a trend in post-Covid America even though health officials say there’s nothing to see here.
University of Louisiana-Lafayette freshman Micky Geller, a top-ranked Canadian waterskier, died at the age of 18 on May 6, the university announced.
“It is with great sadness that the University will lower the University flag to half-staff in memory of Michael Arthur ‘Micky’ Geller on Thursday, May 18,” read a statement posted on the University of Louisiana-Lafayette’s Facebook page. “Micky was a freshman kinesiology major from Carp, Ontario, Canada, and was a member of the National Championship Ragin’ Cajuns Waterski Team. Micky was ranked 6th in the world as a junior water skier in the U21 jump. His friends and family remain in the thoughts, hearts and prayers of many at the University.”
There was no information available about Geller’s cause of death, which prompted plenty of suspicion and speculation:

Water Ski Canada also posted a statement on Facebook.
“It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we share with all of you the news that Micky Geller, from Ontario, has died suddenly,” the organization said. “Micky was a valued member of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Water Ski Team, and the Ontario skiing community and he represented Water Ski Canada on many occasions including the U17 IWWF World Championships, the Jr. US Masters Water Ski Tournament, and the 2022 Pan American Championships.”
“As skiers and all the members of our community begin to mourn this great loss, many will acknowledge his amazing work ethic, unending passion, humor, athleticism, and charisma. During this difficult time, let us come together as a community to support one another and cherish the memories we have of Micky,” the statement added.
Geller’s Covid-19 vaccine status is unknown and there is nothing to suggest that this may have played a factor in his death.
There has been an increase in cases of myocarditis or pericarditis, which results in inflammation around the heart, yet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states on its website that the benefits of Covid-19 vaccination outweigh the known and potential risks.
Author Ed Dowd, who published a book alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr., “Cause Unknown”: The Epidemic of Sudden Deaths in 2021 & 2022, appeared on Tucker Carlson’s former Fox News show earlier this year to say that there is a concerted effort to “keep a lid” on potential links between sudden deaths and the vaccine.
“Now that the vaccine is coming to light that it’s causing death and injury, they all have an interest to keep this thing under wraps. And I don’t think it’s a bunch of people conspiring to do it. They all had their hand in the momentum and the disaster, so they want to keep a lid on this,” Down said.
Carlson noted in a segment last fall featuring former New York Times reporter and author Alex Berenson that focused on the deaths of young people after mandatory COVID vaccinations that five doctors in Toronto died in July 2022, including a 27-year-old triathlete who died after a swimming competition and a 50-year-old Olympian who died after a run. There was also a 37-year-old cycling champion in Scotland who died of a heart attack two days after winning a national mountain biking championship.
Berenson said at the time that “week after week European countries are reporting above average all cause deaths,” which is a total of all deaths recorded.
