Watters digs more into FEMA officials $1,000-a-night luxury hotels in Maui as cadaver dogs roam Lahaina

Fox News host Jesse Watters hammered FEMA officials who reportedly splurged on Maui luxury hotels in the devastating wake of the Lahaina wildfire that turned the city into a mass graveyard.

The government is disrespecting us once again. FEMA has turned the Hawaii tragedy into a vacation. According to a report and photos obtained by the Daily Mail, FEMA officials booked themselves into 5-star luxury Hawaiian resorts, where they relaxed at cocktail bars, 45 minutes away from Lahaina,” he stated on X.

“They’re shacking up beachfront at hotels that go for $1,000+ a night, filled with all the luxuries you could imagine. While they live in luxury, FEMA’s administrator, Deanne Criswell, is complaining they don’t have enough money and need more taxpayer cash,” Watters noted, pointing out the brazen hypocrisy of it all.

The Daily Mail reported, “FEMA teams have checked in at three five-star hotels, the Fairmont Kea Lani, Four Seasons, and the Grand Wailea Astoria where past guests include members of Hollywood’s elite.”

The conservative host pummeled FEMA and the Biden administration for its lack of empathy and apparent corruption once again when it comes to the wildfire victims on Maui.

“Fire raged through Maui, Hawaii, leaving 115 dead, 850 Americans missing, hundreds of which are kids, for what’s the deadliest wildfire in US history in over a century,” Watters sadly stated on his Fox News show Tuesday.

They’re shacking up at the Maui Four Seasons, beachfront of course. Rooms there are $1,000 a night. The presidential suite goes for $29,000 a night. We sure hope they’re not staying there,” he quipped.

Watters was far from finished.

“Hopefully, FEMA officials aren’t getting spa treatments like the $225 one at the Lomi Mohala Massage. We pray they’re not poolside sipping Laurent-Perrier champagne since there’s nothing to celebrate. The Mai Tai at the Maui Four Seasons is $32, gratuity not included,” he pointed out.

“Now we have boots on the ground there on the island. … It’s not just the Four Seasons. FEMA agents are also posting up at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui, where rooms range there from $1,300 to $4,500 a night. Scuba, surf, and paddle lessons are not complimentary. Neither are the Sunset Pilates classes,” Watters continued.

He snarked, “Do you have to stay limber to hold the leash of your cadaver dog?”

FEMA could have gotten rooms at a quarter of the cost which the Fox News host said his team had verified. They could have stayed at the Days Inn where they would have gotten an ocean-front view for $250 a night.

And Watters’ team also thought they spied FEMA workers getting in some golf while Lahaina smolders and bodies await discovery including an unknown number of children under the rubble.

Lahaina residents have slammed FEMA over an extremely slow response to the catastrophe. Thousands are homeless and the families of those presumed dead are waiting in agony to find out the fate of their loved ones. There are rumors that FEMA has actively blocked volunteers from delivering aid to the disaster zone.

Meanwhile, President Biden is crowing over each household getting a ridiculous one-time stipend of $700 when they have lost everything. Adding insult to injury, the president stopped by long enough to do a photo-op and compare the worst wildfire in 100 years, costing an estimated $5 billion, to a kitchen fire.

Rage is building fast over FEMA and the Biden administration’s botching of relief efforts on Maui while they act as if they are on vacation:
