Biden tramples his ‘values’ to beg Saudi Arabia, Venezuela for more oil … anything BUT more US crude

President Joe Biden is taking serious heat over his refusal to ban Russian oil, a move critics charge is helping fund Vladimir Putin’s war machine. Already beset with soaring gas prices in the U.S., and midterm elections coming up, the White House has already said the price of gas is a factor here, However, beholden to the radical left base of the Democratic Party, the president refuses to increase domestic production of oil.

An acceptable solution, apparently, is to curry favor with the socialist dictator in Venezuela in the hopes Nicolás Maduro will export more oil to the U.S., with a high-level US delegation being sent to initiate those talks over the weekend.

Another solution is to appeal to Saudi Arabia to pump more oil, with Axios reporting that Biden’s advisers “are discussing a possible visit to Saudi Arabia this spring to help repair relations” in the hopes that it will result in the Kingdom producing more crude.

“A hat-in-hand trip would illustrate the gravity of the global energy crisis driven by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Biden has chastised Saudi Arabia, and the CIA believes its de facto leader, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was involved in the dismemberment of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi,” Axios reported.

And therein lies the problem for President Biden.

While running for office, Biden had this to say: “Human rights should be at the core of our engagement with the world — not the periphery. As president, Joe Biden will hold accountable Saudi Arabia, China, and every nation that violates the human rights of their citizens.”

And there was this:

The idea of using Venezuela oil is complicated in and of itself, given that country’s relationship with Russia, but it also shows, as conservative commentator Dana Loesch noted, that Biden seems more willing to hit the U.S. with more crippling sanctions than the aforementioned countries:
