Arizona’s Republican nominee for governor Kari Lake continues her improbable battle against the outcome of the 2022 gubernatorial election and celebrated a small victory on Monday when a judge ruled in her favor on two counts.
Maricopa County Superior Judge Peter Thompson dismissed eight out of 10 counts in Lake’s election lawsuit, according to Fox News, but ruled the remaining two counts challenging Democrat Governor-elect Katie Hobbs’ election victory can go to trial.

The two counts center on printers malfunctioning on Election Day and ballot chain of custody.
“Lake claimed printers that malfunctioned were not certified and had ‘vulnerabilities’ that made them ‘susceptible to hacking.’ She also claimed the printers malfunctioned because of ‘intentional action,'” Fox News reported.
The task Lake faces is to prove at trial that someone interfered with the printers in violation of Arizona law and that the interference cost her enough votes to affect the outcome of the election — the Republican lost to Hobbs by just over 17,000 votes. She also must prove that employees of the county’s ballot contractor violated the “County Election Manual” when they added ballots of family members and that they failed to secure an “Inbound Receipt of Delivery.”
While no date has been set, a two-day trial is expected to take place before January 2, 2023, with Judge Thompson reportedly asking all parties involved to submit a list with the anticipated time required for the proceedings no later than 12 p.m. on Dec. 20.

What should worry everyone are th standards of judicial review. The judge has said AZ laws are such garbage that there is no mechanism to prevent the Sec of State from stuffing the ballot box, breaking polling centers, or refusing to validly verify mail-in singatures.
